wow

are you the one who performed this piece? because it's beautiful. You have a truly debussy oriented taste, and i love it. It also reminds me of five for fighting a little bit. but it is beautiful. i should be done my next piece soon, so i'll update u on that. this piece is amazing, how u only have a 4.11 at the moment blows my mind. 5/5 and 10/10

Jabicho responds:

Yep, I performed it, had a lot of fun recording =), thanks for the amazing comment, hope to hear your next piece soon! =D

very pretty

It's very calm, and, well i guess "stationary" i like how u stay with one mood throughout the piece, and being able to compose a piece just from one moment of inspiration, thats pretty good, i love the piano part for this by the way. it almost to me sounded like a march of soldiers through a city that's already been attack and they witness the destruction around them, thanking god they weren't there when it happened. this song's melo and i love it :)

Tamadrum responds:

Thanks dude, It was such a peaceful day outside, I was just awe-struck with the beauty of it... I knew I had to write something then.

wow

very very nice, i think that this is your best piece submitted within the month. it fits the mood perfectly. i'm sure even nobuo uematsu would be intrigued by this. i love the brass melody included too, it makes it extremely exhilarating, i love it :)

Zero123Music responds:

Thanks dude! (09) lol

This took a lot of work and all I need is a better brass sound.

This was made for the world r:2 MMO but the guy never PM'd back - oh well.
I'm still young :-)

thanks onece more

hmm

You really love the cello don't you :) i think the melod could've been developed a bit more, but i'm a huge romantic fan, but i like the mood. if you can tell in my song (a hopeful heart) i'm a big fan of this sort of mood. I have no idea what happened at 0:53, maybe check that chord, it sounds diminished, maybe try a minor, it might make it smoother, but again, very peaceful, feels abandoned, forsaken, shit out of luck :) very nice

Zero123Music responds:

cheers a bunch, maybe check out V2.
It's not so much romantic but solitude, not so much not grabbing something but not being able to grab it.

I'm sorry but I liked that chord at 0:53 it was absolutely deliberate and I think you were thinking of the this as more of a love song which made the chord sound wrong.

Thanks for the 7!

Very nice, very Baroque

I love the progression you used, a little longer would be great though. This sounds like something I'd hear in a Fire Emblem game. Also, great choice to have the cello play the melody, it really sets the mood, but i think you could've extended to be sort of a duet between the cellos and the violas, but thats just my opinion. I can definately see this in a video game, it's very peaceful. Great job!

Zero123Music responds:

Well, first thankyou very much for reviewing this.
Second I would love to do everything you just said like the duet and stuff but the program I used is bust.

And I made this when I was in my early 13 and with not much experience or knowledge of music.

very nice

I love your style, and is this you performing it, if so, very well done, wish i could play that well instead of using a program to play my piece (a hopeful heart). This piece i can tell came from the heart, but if it didn't, i can only imagine what it would sound like, but its hard to do btr than this. very well done, a little longer would be nice though

Zero123Music responds:

not really me :-(

I'm downloading A Hopeful heart right now and will listen tonight :-)

Thanks for reviewin!

wow

i'm a huge fan of dark/ gothic sounding music, and this song pretty much epitimizes and gives me a reason to love this style of music. My only complaint is that part with the tuba, i thought it sounded very out if place compared to the string and piano combination with some percussion. I know you were building up an augmented suspension to go into your finale, but i personally think a string base would do this peice more justice. beautifully written, dark, and i loved it, def. a fav. in fact, i'd be honored if you critiqued my piece, its dark, but long, but i think you would love it. please pm me if you send other amazing pieces like this in

SinJim responds:

Hey Dude (hah...), I'm glad you liked this one. The tuba is a bit odd in there and I definitely sat there for awhile trying to determine if I should include it or change it. I guess in the end I decided that because it was for Madness and it should have that theme, the tuba felt a bit out of place and put a sense of craziness into the song. Had I not been entering the competition, I most likely would have gone for the double basses, but who knows. If I do upload another version, I'll take your advice and consider the strings to see if it sounds better. Thanks for the comments!

very moving :)

as you could tell by my one song "a hopeful heart" i'm a sucker for this kind of music. it's full of emotion, i cant believe this wasnt inspired by an experience of yours, it just seems to speak to the heart. it also reminds me a lot of nobuo uematsu's "suteki da ne" (or however its spelled) which is definately a good thing. the only thing i wouldve liked to be included in the song is a definitive climax in the song, other wise its astounding, thanks for recommending me to listen to it :)

KTRECORDS responds:

Sweet, thx for checkin it out. I'm glad you like it. This was my first big solo song so I had to put a lot of TLC into it. I plan on redoing it someday with some better instruments. If that happens, then I made be able to add that climax that people have been looking for in the song.

Anyways, thx again for checkin it out. Check back for more songs from KTRECORDS

TheMaskedJew responds:

It's fine. I learned long ago that there is a vast separation between compositional adequacy and popularity on Newgrounds.

i'm an aspiring composer so if anyone listens to my music, please feel free to write a review or comment
