Way too short

I wanted more dude!! Btw, i thought it said "Furby" lol. Anyway, i liked the triplet sequences you would do the right hand of the piano to contrast the chord pattern with the left, i'm a fan of doing that myself :) nice orchestration chords too.

MrFuby responds:

Thanks, i will make it longer)

Def. not classical

This is Irish/Celtic, Classical is often generalized for the common practice periods (Baroque, Classical, Romantic, Early 20th Century (The Russians)) But def. had a Riverdance feel, i liked it, too short, thought the perc could be a bit bleaner though. great job otherwise :D

Aeris responds:

Thanks :D

Ya, unfortunately Newgrounds' definition of "classical" is using classical instruments, and no synth. No folk category like there should be, so this is the best NG's got.

I'll probably lengthen it when I start hearing it in my head again C: Right now if I lengthened it, it would end up repetitive.

Thanks for the review!

Nice form

I was expecting someone to mess up the art of fugue but u did nicely with nice syncopation thrown in there too :) Bach did use organ too you know ;) peaceful too. Nicely done, cant wait to hear the extended version ^__^

Sandman1278 responds:

yea,but i can never get an organ to sound good, im glad you like it, I will finish that longer version eventually, switching keys and such,

if you want to hear someone mess up art of the fugue i did a "cover" of counterpoints 1 and 2 http://www.newgrounds.com/audio/liste n/228265

Ah the sound of theory

Very Classical, too many orientations to be considered Baroque but its close due to the staccato movement of the forst part. Great job at 1 minute with the legato, nice cadenza after that. This piece seemed like it was teasing me, and a wanted to hear more. Great job with keeping in theory :)

SuperTonic64 responds:

You are correct, this is an early classical style piece, especially in the style of Bach, Scarlatti, and other composers around the 1700's. Thank you! ^_^ I'm glad you picked up on a lot of the nuances of the piece! It makes me feel like taking all these theory classes wasn't in vain. :)

at least finish the damn verse

ok you were in pitch but why not complete the verse, it was annoying too

this is techno

but i still love it :D very nice mix

quite actually one of the worst

crackpots like john cage would even find this disturbing/

I like it :D

Very nicely done. Very psychedelic. I have no idea why its so low. Its very nice.

.........

I know the sound quality kind of sucks, but if you are going to make a duet. TUbas dont always like doing a bunch of long tones. For a debut, there are better ways to make it shine. I play trombone and I could say that i'd be bored playing this. Its too basic. The tuba has a surprising range, take advantage of it, along with the trombone. Overall, even with a crappy program, one can make a great piece. Nice try though.

long time no see

Hey hows it going? well here I go at about 1:30 i started getting a bit bored, but at 2:10 i loved it :) the ending i thought couldve been more original though. Love your progression. I'm guessing starting at 1:20 you were trying to build tension. That couldve been a bit more dynamic and flavorful. The second is great. Nice arpeggiation at the second half too ;) good job overall

i'm an aspiring composer so if anyone listens to my music, please feel free to write a review or comment
