Simple is okay

I like the fact its recorded this way, it makes it seem like someone is having a memoery flashback on a phonagraph. Only one complaint. The title has already been taken by Nobuo Uematsu (Melodies of Life) just be careful with that.

Seems very incomplete.

A basic melody was established, but even that was scattered. More chords couldve been used and a counter melody wouldve been very exceptional to add to this piece. It seems like you thought this up in one hour. Seems like no effort was used. If it was, i apologize.

Okay, you seem like a nice guy, so i'll put it as nicely as i can. Ur voice doesnt work to well in this piece. The harmonies had incorrect timing, so it felt scattered. The harmonies were also too loud, I was barely able to hear the japanese melody. Nice idea though.

i kno ur redoing mozart, but he used a lot more chord structure and counter melody, nice try though.

hmmm

The first 8 seconds i thought were a little poorly done, but you rebounded. For the hype u gave about it, i was expecting a bit more. like the harp. This seemed to be like "i've heard this before, oh yeah in every action movie in the medievil period ever." it is well done, but in my opinion a little bland. Nice effort though. Nice sound.

It was boring and bland,
It was just my attempt at an epic, and in terms of realism and such - I failed.

I did try hard - so this piece I don't think was a waste of time ;)

phew difficult

You both kept very tight to the theme. I'm a sucker for both instruments. The harmonies were great with both. It reminded me very much of FF VIII for some reason :S which is a good thing. I thought the second half ended awkwardly. I felt that the first half did a great job using the voices and piano to their advantage with the oboe. The oboe melody was extremely smooth and I wished it wouldve been longer. Both were great, I give the first half a 5/5 the second a 4.5/5 therefore it rounds up to a ten for stars. BTW, I wanted to talk to you guys about an idea of mine for a new contest. Its posted on my profile and the forums. Great job again you guys :)

hey! Yeah my half does end a bit abruptly, my hour was up XD! The problem with my duel halves are i'm usually trying to really build up into something, and 45 minutes will pass and i'm out of time so I have to start tying ends together. Mandi takes her time to mold a minute of audio, but that minute is well rounded.

I should learn from her.

*Sigh* what a great song to end a night of judging with. Thank you so much for writing such a beautiful song. It's simple and short, but beautiful. Felt the love. Just what I needed. Nice string at 1:45. Works well in a loop too. 5/5 10/10

Wow very heartfelt. Extremely romantic, I absolutely love it. Why so short though =( Although the female vocal I found to be a bit odd. Nice guitar.Odd ending, why so much extra time? 5/5 9/10

Hey there, thanks! It was short because my original submissions were lost when my HD went down, so it didn't leave me much time to get it done. As for the odd vocal, I was trying to be original really, as it is quite odd. The extra time at the end was there because I felt it allowed time for the persons listening to take it in before looping round abruptly. Thanks for reviewing!
